Good morning. Today is Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012.

Another morning of wet roads and below-freezing temperatures - a combination that yesterday led to some smash-ups during the morning commute. The good news: The morning is off to a warmer start . . . just below 30 ahead of 7 a.m. Today's highs will be close to 40, normal for this time of year.

News of note:

• A Sioux City, Iowa, manufacturer of electrical and communication transmission equipment has announced plans to nearly double its workforce.

Beer-brewing and liquor sales could increase in Nebraska under a pair of bills lawmakers advanced Tuesday.

Creighton broke out of its shooting slump Tuesday night in record-setting fashion.

Frozen yogurt, that cold, creamy sweet treat, is fast becoming one of Omaha's hottest food trends.

Among the day's happenings:

• State lawmakers will take up round two of efforts to lure a major data center to Nebraska. In the afternoon, they will turn their attention to laws on eminent domain following the Keystone pipeline controversy. Read more in The State Line blog.
